AUGUST
August: 15th - 16th Scotland Area    West Highlands — Applecross Alpine Adventure Following on from last years 'North by North West' run in the Scottish Highlands, The planning has begun for this years Northern soiree.
This years trip will take us West to the Applecross Peninsula and over the UK's only Alpine pass (Applecross Alpines), the infamous 'Bealach na Ba' (Pass of the Cattle).
True to 'Albanach' tradition, this event will attract minimal cost with overnight accomodation in Applecross in the campsite. Pitches and camping cabins are both available and there are numerous B&Bs in the area for those less hardy.
Saturdays run will start in Drumnadrochit, on the shores of Loch Ness before driving down the loch and taking the 'Road to the Isles' towards Skye and Eilean Donan Castle. From there, it's North to Stromeferry and Lochcarron before pausing to attempt the Bealach na Ba, allowing us to roll the last few miles into Applecross.
After a leisurely start on Sunday, the route will then continue to Sheildaig along the 'new' road (only built in the late 70's by the army) before taking us North to Poolewe and a circular route through breathtaking scenery back to civilisation (Inverness).
Further details at: http://www.bevs.org/applecross/    Contact Callum if you're interested in joining this adventure.
