Re: Gear lever connection to gearbox

Re: Gear lever connection to gearbox
The quick answer is the bend has to be there! Bog standard 2cv gear stick but extended length! The only thing i had to do was shorten the upright stick from the gearbox, because it fouled the bonnet! After it comes through the bulkhead the bend should be upright to the gearbox lever,in neutral The be...

Re: Oil Cooler info. Cylinder Cooling fans too!!!
Hi Jimmy,me thinks that you are worrying too much!Blackjacks do not bother to fit an oil cooler! Same as a lot of motorbikes! My Citroen mechanic mate ,has fitted a heat sensor in his drain plug,on his Avion, and it does not run hot at all!A cool engine does not run at it`s best,so find a happy mediu...

Re: Lomax 223 Fuel Tank Capacity, Fuel Tank Venting etc
Yes! That should work a treat!Should fill alright now, with a bit of care! All 2cv fill ups will give you a petrol shower if you tend to go too fast! My 2cv is a standard engine, apart from electronic ignition, supercoil. it has covered 63,000 miles & is in great condition! Wife uses it every day & we ...

Re: Tickover problems
Hi,you do not need to be over technical with these 2cv engines! All you need is a patient nature and a stubborn streak! You are going to find that this fault is probally a bad electrical connection or a dirty one! The first suspect is the back of the ignition switch or the coil connections. The numbe...

Re: Lomax 223 Fuel Tank Capacity
Hi,going on the fuel consumption on my 2cv,you should calculate about 150 miles on a tank full! This should leave you a safe margin. Graham.

Love the scooter! Bournemouth registered! I was a rocker in Bournemouth! No hard feeling though! I watch the film every time it comes on! Brilliant! Graham.
