Hi Richard - flywheel lightening is all discussed and laid out by John Nash in section 2 of his booklet "It's not a mouse but a Lion". PM me and I can email you the info.
Cheers
Bill

Re: Petrol/exhaust fumes?
Hi Karic,
Not sure of what car you have and I assume it's an open top model. Firstly I'd take out the plugs and see if there is an indication of a rich mixture - that could indicate that the carb was flooding and needed looking at. Perhaps a float level problem.

Re: Valves on my Bra CV3
sounds more like water in the carb to me. I'd clean out the float chamber and make sure that the jets are all clean first, before delving into the motor.

Re: Top end noise
Hi Andy, Sounds like a sticking cam follower, sticking valve, or loose valve guide. Before delving into the engine I'd swop the cylinder head with a spare. If you haven't got one then a fellow local club member could probably loan you one for the test. That would at least tell you if the problem was...

Re: Valves on my Bra CV3
Hi Dave, I'd give the carb a good clean out first. Use an air line to blow through the jets(preferably backwards in order to dislodge any particles). In the past I have found mine with all sorts of debris and water in it when having the same problem as you. Then fit an inline fuel filter.

Re: Vacuum valve source?
Hello Vyv, They're available on UK Ebay for 8mm and 6mm pipe - see item 232503626327 for 8mm(5/16) and item 232532900804 for 6mm(1/4) . I assume you need one to help/replace the Citroen crankcase breather, I used one in the fuel tank breather pipe to stop fuel surge when filling up. Not sure of avai...

Re: lomax body colours
Thanks Andy, I identified my colour not long after posting my query back in 2017. My car is "Golden Yellow" - RAL3754 and a few years ago I ordered some Gel coat in order to fill some drilled holes - all matched perfectly.

Re: lomax body colours
Google "Llewellyn Ryland" , then look for their "standard range" for the gel coat colours - BRG is listed as 3712. See the following link

Re: Alternator belt
Hi Andy, I use a Fenner Z545. However it will depend on how your alternator is mounted. The Fenner Z belts are 10mm width across the top. A is 13mm and B is 17mm, so that dimension will depend on your pulleys. The 545 is the length in mm and the Fenner belts are measured around the inside - all easy...
