223 tyre pressures

Post by waps » Mon Jun 17, 2013 7:12 pm

I know that each car is set up differently, but what would be a good starting point ?
I am currently on 22 front 28 rear, but I do seem to get a slight wander, although this could be caused by the road camber.

probably a lot of members busy getting ready for the chateau impney bash (just moted mine yesterday) i dont use my lomax daily but on the avion which is similiar I have 18 in the front and around 22 in the back you have to experiment what works for you from my experience too high a pressure will make it twitchey but most importantly I would get the tracking done on yours as its is probably toeing in you must put weight in to simulate the weight you normally drive at before you check it there are cheap tracking rods on ebay which will put you in the ball park

I reckon about 18 to 22 psi on the front and 28 to 30 psi on the rear but it all depends on how much weight you are carrying particularly with the rear, and what size and type of tyre you are using. I tend to look at the tyre and pump it up until it looks about the right amount of inflation.
