Large Oil Filter Adapter

Who's selling these now? I'm not keen to pay 40 Euros from Der Franzose for a part that should cost £12 at the most.

Hi Geoff, My adaptor came from 2CVstuff.com but they do not seem to exist in the same way anymore. Good to see you at the show. Tony.

Hi Tony - yes, 2CV Stuff have folded. Even their website is gone.

I may use a filter take-off and a remote like this one I have on the V8 - it would double the oil capacity just about...

Geoff,
some Norton Commando engines used a 2CV oil filter and one owner mentions using a helicoil to take the standard M16 x 1.5 thread out to M18 x 1.5 for larger filters.
Worth having a try? ;)

Ken

Ken - yes I heard that. They're cheap enough to buy so I might try it when I change the oil next week.
