Hi
I am looking at new tyres for the front of my Avion - just done 1000 miles to Scotland and the 10000ft Runs
the cheap motorcycle tyres have on the front 130/90 16 don't feel very secure.
I was looking for something with a more normal tread and am looking at the following.
Avon SM Mark 11
Continental K112
Shinko E270
Any comments or suggestions as to the best way to go.
Thanks
Richard

Re: Tyres for Blackjack Avion
You need to use rear tyres all round. Tyres meant for a Harley style cruiser are best - the race rep ones are too soft and are gone in a couple of thousand miles.
I've used 130/90 x 16 Avon Gangsters on my Avion for the past few years. I'm very pleased with them. Sidewalls are very stiff too.
I've used the Shenko's too - they're fine for the price. You might want to try these Maxxis tyres from Demon Tweeks - great at £44 each

Pirelli City Demons look worth a try too; http://www.tyretectrading.co.uk/pirelli ... -rear.html
I've used 70 profile before and they work but the ride is better on 90s. However, there are now a lot of scooter tyres in 130/80 x 16. Price is very good and I may give them a go at some time.
