Wiper blades

Post by llanigraham » Thu Sep 22, 2016 5:21 pm

Had to drive the Lomax in the rain for the first time this week and to say that the wipers are useless is an understatement!!

I've got the type with a motor at the top of the screen on the passenger side, that drives the drivers side wiper by a "driver" bar.
Passenger side wipes reasonable well, but the driver's side..............................!! (Possibly not helped by the rubber starting to split.) :?
Wiper blades are held onto the wiper arms with a rubber "bung" through a hole in the blade itself. :?

Tried the ECAS V24 blades but cannot find a way of fitting them to the arms (confirmed by ECAS). If the current end came off they might have fitted, but not sure.

Looked on ECAS, Kit Car Solutions, and Ebay and cannot find any wiper blades of the type I have to fit, so now I am stuck.

I have considered changing the arms to the arms KCS sell for their similar motor and getting suitable blades from them, but not sure that their arms will fit my motor.

What do other people do?

Hello Llanigraham.
I also have same wiper setup.
Yes, not so good, but better than nothing...the complete automobilist in Norfolk is the best place for parts.

Hi, Try http://www.europaspares.com part number B00108 or B00109 blades and RPCB rubber peg.
If the blades are too long they can be cut down with a Jr. hacksaw...
