Blackjack Carb Conversion Kit

Post by motomallett » Tue Feb 05, 2019 12:09 pm

Hi Guys am looking at one of these conversion kits and wondering do they really work. It seems to be a large piece of kit for a 2cv engine. A long way for the fuel to travel and supplied by a large su hif carb which i imagine would soon swallow a gallon of fuel. Has any of you got any experience of using one of these weird and wonderful pieces of art. Hoping to hear from you wizards of engineering. Drive Safe Roger

I fitted one of these in 2002. 35,000 miles covered since then and averaged 54 m.p.g.
Only problem fitting kit was height of dashpot. This required cutting a hole in bonnet to give clearence.
