Jack,
Hopefully won’t need to alter arms as not planning to run that low. Is there a minimum height that you can go to before the king pin angle needs altering, and where is the measurement taken?

Howard,
The springs on my rear GAZ units are 8” free length and marked 200 on the top coil, I haven’t checked the front ones yet. You are welcome to borrow these if it helps your setting up.

Tony,
With a Pembleton front height is measured under sump plug.

Hi Tony, Thanks very much for the offer to try your springs, much appreciated. However my spring issue is sorted now, so onward and upward...

Look forward to seeing further photos of your very nice looking car... by far the best Lomax body I have seen, well the rear end at least!

Thanks Howard and Jack,
I also think the previous owner did a super job with the bodywork, bulkhead backwards. The big test now is how to get the front end just as good!!

Hi Tamo never been a fan of the looks of the four wheeler but the rear body extension certainly improves the look . Not sure that Bob can help these days as I believe from his recent Email to me that you will find that he is now fully retired and looking for someone else to take on the Lomax marque . IF it is of any help to you Or anybody else in the Club I have a bonnet mould hanging up in my garage which I made some years ago and has only been used just the once . It is a modified mould as the front valance is a separate item so that the bonnet can be hinged from the rear scuttle panel.
IT IS FREE To anyone prepared to come and collect it !! I know you are a long way away but .....

Hi Ron, appreciate your comments and information. My fibreglassing skills are not good enough to make my own bonnet, rather hoping that somewhere there is a usable/repairable bonnet available. If not, I will have to fabricate a front end and hope it doesn’t ruin the car’s appearance.

Hi Ron, hope you're both well and staying safe. I'm in the same quandary as Tony. I need a bonnet and don't have the fibreglassing skills to make one. It would be intresting to know who takes up your kind offer of the mould and if they would intend making a batch!!
Kind regards David

Hi Tony. Was it not the car that was on eBay recently with the aluminium bonnet an Wolseley grille? I rather liked the look of that front end.

Hi Tony,
Yes it was the one on eBay — alum bonnet and MG Magnette grille. If necessary I will use this as a basis but not mad keen on the look.

If you get sorted with a proper Lomax bonnet and decide to sell the ali bonnet / grille then give me a shout.
