BRA saga continued

Post by DaveWard » Thu Mar 09, 2023 10:08 am

Hi guys I thought you might like an up date on the ...... missing , loss of power and non idle
Watching a video of stripping a Solex carb the idle jet was being removed and I thought , I haven't noticed on of those ! Dashing out to the garage to look , sure enough , NO idle jet, a threaded hole but no jet !!. One quickly purchased .. Magic problem solved.
While investigating above problem it became obvious the crank-case was under quite a bit of pressure . The breather outlet wasn't connected and it wasn't venting either. I watched the refurb. process on utube , purchased the kit , did the refurb. which was a bit of a fiddle but nothing to be worried about and piped it into the carb. with some 20mm flexible plasic conduit.

Hopefully thats it and when the snow goes I can get out.
Thanks for help
Dave

Always good when massive frustration and gnashing of teeth is 'cured' with a simple cheap fix. Hopefully, you've managed to get out loads during the summer this year

I wish my BRA CV£ could be fixed with an idle jet!!
