DG NITION electronic ignition
Looking over the car today and found out that my electronic ignition is made by DG Nition and not 123 ignition, should I be concerned or are they just as good?

Re: DG NITION electronic ignition
I've had one fitted to my 2CV special for 15 years, never missed a beat, starts first time every time.
They were sold by 2CV City.
Just keep it clean and take care of the wiring, make sure it is safely routed away from the pulley and well protected.
The only trouble I have had with the ignition system was a corroded (blackened) connection.

Re: DG NITION electronic ignition
We prefer these DG, we use the same electronic in our ignitions, always use a 3 ohm ignition coil like original, a lower resistance coil recommended by 123 can destroy the ignition and will also destroy the early 123 ignition.Christy Minstrel wrote: ↑Fri Dec 20, 2024 12:31 amLooking over the car today and found out that my electronic ignition is made by DG Nition and not 123 ignition, should I be concerned or are they just as good?
