Dismantling a Dyane which has been in storage 15+ years since an aborted/misguided attempt at... not sure... building a race Dyane?
I need to triage all the bits:
1) Junk, bin it.
2) Might be useful to someone else.
3) Keep for my current project (Acadiane) or a future cyclecar.
Among the parts coming off is a flywheel which weighs just 3.44Kg. Both sides are flush with the ring-gear. Gearbox is long-spline type and there was a (never-run) Verto clutch on it. Looks like this flywheel hasn't seen action.
Is this a useful item, or is it mad-light and should be recycled as a novelty dinner-plate?

Your lighted flywheel may pose problems to anyone trying to use it! I lighted one similarly some years ago only to find that the clutch would not disengage before the operating fork, at the cable end, fouled the bell housing! Modifications to the fork were not to difficult but the need to do it puzzled me for a while.

Re: Very light 2CV flywheel
When your engine only have suddenly one spark than your crankshaft will damage out off line, with very light flywheel.
I have seen it at a Lomax in belgium and even the crankhouse broke.
