Fit a buzzer as well!
I know from bitter experience consequences of leaving an indictor on - common issue with motorcyclists as well.
I left my left indictor on by mistake on a motorbike and had someone pull out of a left side road infront of me & I hit them broadside.
Driver said my indictor was on & they thought I was turning down the road they were coming out of, so they came out.
My training says watch the vehicle body language & make sure the vehicle is committed to turn before pulling out infront of it.
They did not do that as I was in the centre of my lane and not slowing down.
I ended up losing damages for injuries for that mistake - something you only do once.
Fitted a buzzer after that!

Wow. I had an experience once involving a motorcyclist. I was indicating right to come out of a junction on to the main road (familiar eh). There was an approaching car indicating left to enter the road I was coming out of so I pulled out before he started turning but didn't see the motorcyclist directly behind the car. His back wheel came off the ground from breaking hard and he didn't half give me a filthy look. Fortunately there was no contact but I was shaken. Think once, think twice, think bike eh
