Oil Cooler info. Cylinder Cooling fans too!!!
Just considering a larger oil cooler for my 223 and came across a few at reasonable costs on a certain internet auction site.
But, what pipe outlets size is used on the conventional 2CV one? Size is in BSP I guess?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Oil Cooler pipe union sizes?
Jimmy,
We are talking Citroen here, therefore I think it unlikely you'll find another cooler thread quire like it! M16 x 1.5 is the thread size. If you want some adapters for the the block to flexible rubber pipe give Alan Bradford a ring at Silly CVs. 01634 252987.
Hope this helps.

Still looking at these various sizes. I see a lot use AN-10 inlet/outlet ports,
All part of the pleasure chasing stuff down I guess.

Re: Oil Cooler pipe union sizes?
My std set-up is as shown here:-
So, a few more rows can't hurt. This at present shows the pipes attached to the cooler with just the pipes pressed-on and jubilee clips for retention. Works well enough.

Re: Oil Cooler pipe union sizes?
I'm using a 13 row cooler but bumped up the pipe size to 1" and made them quite long. Makes a big difference in oil capacity.

Re: Oil Cooler pipe union sizes?
Best picture I have at the minute - the cooler is mounted on the firewall in the disturbed air near the driveshafts. The pipes go up over the gearbox.

For getting round tight corners...
Enots 10mm compressed air fittings...
10mm od to 10mm od tube compression elbow part number 36051106
with 10mm central heating or pneumatic copper tube.
The rad fixing bolt is missing in this pic.
