There are a few that came with doors from the factory (including my old one). I sold it a few months ago and it now lives in France.
And a gratuitous snap from my time in Devon!
I now have a pembleton, but I do miss my Lomax! It was a very well sorted car. Probably better than I gave it credit for!

My 243 came with factory fitted doors. I still find it easier to climb in, whilst my better half prefers the more ladylike use of the door.
I think one of the problems with doors is that they restrict the type of exhaust system which can be used as they obviously have to run below the door level so an upswept pipe or a higher level pipe is out of the question as they prevent the door opening
In addition, with mine I have found that it is very easy to ground the silencer when cornering two up.
I also enclosed the "rear seating or boot space" with a back and lid as it was not secure so I never felt happy leaving anything in it.

Another problem with the Lomax 223 with doors is where to put the spare wheel. It won't fit neatly into the boot, and if side-mounted, would interfere with door opening. The only solution seems to be to sit it on a luggage rack on top of the rear turtle deck. Anybody got a better idea?

It does indeed interfere with the opening angle! For what its worth, i didn't find it at all an issue!
The doors are still super useful and the spare wheel only limited it by a small amount. Due to the length of my legs i had to get in and rest on the seat back, then shimmy down anyway, so wasn't a problem.
