Hazard warning lights and indicators

Can someone help me when I bought my Mehari the indicator lights just stayed on when you used the indicator stalk not winking. I have bought a new unit but I am unsure if it is wired up right. I have a Citroen Haynes manual but even though I follow the diagram nothing seems to work can anyone simplify a diagram which I can understand and also give me some ideas why it may not be working properly. Cheers Ps the wiring was a mess when I got the car.

the key is the use of a multi contact sw, or if unavailable use a 3 way 12v relay to replicate the additional required sw contacts

I contacted an auto electrical enterprise yesterday to buy a 3 gang relay they say there is no such animal.. Back to square one!!!!????

Ignore car parts wholesalers, go to elect distributor, or ebay but this is what you want plus a suitable surface mtg base
