Hi all, this is my 1st post since joining. I'm wanting to do a thorough check of my Avion and change the oil at the same time. I'm an experienced classic car person having rebuilt many of them. I am, however, having trouble figuring out which parts of the Avion Chassis can be used as jacking point and where to place axle stands so that it's safe to work under. So far, I've got two under the rear suspension trailing are mount, but they end up only about 20cm apart and then I can't see an obviously strong part of the chassis that will allow me to jack the front up evenly and then also not sure where I would put the axe stands even if I managed this. I can see what look like jacking points half way along the chassis on either side but really not sure. Any advice would be welcome.
Cheers, Ian.

Re: How to put a Blackjack Avion on Axle Stands
Hi, I've got it figured out. The chassis is stronger than it looks and the car is light. No movement on the stands when pushed and pulled, so seems safe to me. Probably known by those with the car but used the offside middle jacking point to raise the car and place a stand at the front end of the chassis rail, just before where the engine cradle attaches. Repeated on the other side, then jacked the back up using the trailing arm and placed an axle stand at each of the bush mou ting points. All good now.

If I’m working under mine I run the front up car ramps then put a motor bike lift under the back wheel and lift it up horizontal
