Just finished fitting power connections for heated jackets and aero screen cowles from John at Kimble Engineering. Come on winter!

Tried out the heated jackets at the weekend, I can highly recommend them to anyone who would consider using them. The day was very cold but dry, I have just got a heated waistcoat but Jill has the full heated jacket, we were both very warm after about 90 minuets driving.
The jackets seem to use very little current and according to the manufacturers information (Krs)they are virtually indestructible so if you are prone to feeling the cold on a long run could be a better option than layering up. :

Sounds great - what make are the waistcoats/jackets?

Hi Geoff the waistcoat is made by a company called Keis and the jacket is made by airXtreme I bought both from a motorcycle clothing shop called infinity in Norwich, same price as web.

I've worn Gerbing motorcycle gloves for a few years now and they are fantastic. My first pair were so efficient, they warmed up within two or three minutes. They then developed a fault in that as I entered a village and slowed down, the heat became extreme so much so that I couldn't wait to pick up speed again on leaving the village. Gerbings HQ is down near Dover so I returned them - they are guaranteed for life - and they exchanged them as well as giving me a new thermost. This second pair had elasticated cuffs and are even better than the first.
They also sell waistcaots, jackets and pants too. Quality products.

Thanks for the information - the Keis product sounds just what I need.
I've also got an Irvin jacket - they are well worth the money. I can wear mine in the coldest weather with just a T shirt underneath.
I had the collar on my Irvin remade in matching leather to the same shape as on my denim jacket - I can wrap a scarf around for extra warmth and then stand the collar up . I had the cuffs reworked so that the furry bit was removed and a zip from the edge of the cuff to about mid-way on my elbow (I can now easily put my gloves inside the sleeve and zip it back shut). I had these mods made because I find the furry collar and cuffs get soggy and uncomfortable in the rain but also because it looks a little different (a sort of a cross between and A2 and B3 USAAF jackets).
