Hello All,
Well I've asked this question in another forum and got no answers so I'm going to ask you gentlemen and ladies the same question.
I'm used to cellulose paints and T cut etc but I've not used lacquer before to get a shine, I'm using metallic paint and lacquer to spray my trike (I'm spraying outside) it's an ongoing project at the moment due to the weather.
Now to the question. I've used G3 buffing compound before on one coat gloss to good effect but what I would like to know, if anyone can tell me, can you buff/polish acrylic lacquer? there will probably be some overspray and I don't want to make a mess of the paintwork by using the wrong stuff to get a good shine on it.
Any help to point me in the right direction would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Regards
Dave

Re: Polishing Lacquer?
Yes - it has to be buffed to get any sort of decent shine on it. Here's a masterclass on colour sanding;

Same rules apply for acrylic as two pack.

Thanks Geoff. I've saved the page to my favourites and will study it before I start. At a glance it looks like a comprehensive "how to" guide.
