Anyone know how the fan works on the Sahara ? Does it suck air in , from the back or blow aiir out backwards direction?
This would mean the two fans are made differently . ??

The cooling fan on the rear engine is identical to that on the front engine, acting as an impeller.
I'd have my doubts as to whether an arrangement which attempted to move cooling air in the reverse direction could achieve the same efficiency.

That fan is definitely blowing!

Hi Kowlomax,
Whats the chance of obtaining a Sahara pulley / fan that blows air outwards ? Probably no chance and maybe its not interchangeable with a normal one . Aidan

Hi Ken,
just saw your reply which answers my question . So i had an idea to add a 9" inch electric fan mounted just a fraction behind the original to push more cool air into the irear engine and build a vented housing to support it . This would replace the spare wheel which normally sits there. Does that sound reasonable ?

Also saw your great photo of the Sahara engine which clarifys everything. Looks like those two large diameter tubes above engine ,
take the hot air from the heat exchangers out through side vents ?
Cheers Aidan
