I foresee problems!

When was it converted?
Have you documentary evidence of that?
Has it been MOT'ed under the incorrect description?

I have a feeling it will need testing having looked at my edited link below.

And to add, under the new rules I suspect this type of question is going to get more common.

What new rules? Can you elaborate or add a link to the relevant web page...
Thanks Howard

Yes this is concerned with MOT testing, basically no change for kit cars and specials, just carry on testing.

Regarding the original question, take a look at page 8 of the FBHVC News Letter issue 5.
It seems that modifying or fitting a different body to an existing car then simply updating the V5c may no longer be (probably won't be) a possibility. Although the example given has a monocoque body a vehicle with a separate chassis may get away with it providing that the chassis is unmodified or has been replace with a chassis identical to the manufacture's original.

Registration ambiguities are becoming difficult to exploit!

Trying to pull the wool over DVSA's eyes is probably NOT a good idea!

I would suggest giving them a ring and asking them for advice, hyperthetically of course.
3 possibilities:
They will insist on a full IVA test.
They will insist on an inspection at one of their centres and alter the description.
They will just re-describe it.
