Clutch drag
My Lomax seems to require several seconds with the clutch pedal depressed before the gears will engage without graunching. This is from hot or cold, but only when the car is at rest, not on the move. Any suggestions, please? Thanks, Patrick

Re: Clutch drag
Patrick,
since there's no (*functional) synchromesh on an A series 1st gear, the trick is to select 2nd gear briefly when at a standstill before moving the gear lever into 1st.
That stops the input shaft spinning and eliminates any graunching...
Ken
( * Everything else is present, however there's no synchromesh clip.)
