pushrods - which way is up

Since a week isn't complete without a numpty question from me, can you remind me which way my pushrods go back in? there's a round end and a flat end. Which is the top?

Small round end in the rocker and flat end in the engine. Just try other way and you'll see it doesn't fit in the rocker
