I'm about to start stripping and rebuilding an engine as a 625cc. As I'll have the whole thing apart I figured it's a good opportunity to get the camshaft profiled but there are a couple of things I'm not sure about:
1. Is it worth doing?
2. If so, what profile should I go for?
Camshaft profiling

Re: Camshaft profiling
Hi there nobody seems to be replying to your post so i thought i would give you my thoughts if you have decided to strip down your motor then
i think putting a better cam in is an excellent idea. I am renovating my dads old lomax as we speak and i considered fitting a guzzi engine
but there are adaptors to buy or make ignition to sort out new exhaust , carbs to sort. So its a lot of work i think i have decided now to stick
with the 2cv engine but go to 650cc and a better cam. There is a german company called STP that do a variety of cam profiles check them
out, best of luck. Dave.
