Rev counter modification

Post by andywestmancoat » Wed Aug 22, 2012 6:34 pm

I currently use a rev counter from a Citroen GS on my Lomax 223. Obviously, this was from a 4 cylinder machine and needs to be modified for a 2 cylinder engine.

Many years ago there was a "tip" written on how to do this; naturally I have filed this in a very safe place and cannot find it.

Does anyone know what I should do to modify the rev counter.

Any help would be gratefully recieved.

Thanks

Hi, just finished my Lomax and I have the same problem with the rev counter. Is there any chance of a copy of the info please! Or does anyone know which resistor requires changing? :|

Thanks.

I have the info at home and will upload it here for all to see tonight.

If this proves useful, then we create a 'sticky' Tech Notes subforum in which to deposit all of this information.
