New member information on the LX3 Falcon kits

Post by Guppy » Tue Dec 22, 2020 12:20 pm

Hello all
My name is Gary but just call me guppy and I am a new member to your club forum so thanks for having me.
My interest is in the JBA LX3 3 wheel kit cars built on the 2CV donor cars. Google searchs brings me very little information on the kit and some site which talk about JBA Engineering and the falcon series of kits fail to mention the lovely 3 wheels with the lotus 7 copy bonnet. I just love these cars, anyone, how is willing to share information about these cars or stories of their car would be gladly received.

Hi, The JBA falcon is a 4 wheel roadster based on Ford, the 2CV based 3 wheeler just happens to have the same name. I think there are still 1 or 2 in the club. There is a photo on the July issue 2010 of Flat out with 2 at Stoneleigh. You can find a copy of this in the Newsletter back issues download.
Anyway welcome Guppy

Hi thanks for the reply
Tried to get into back issues but did not except my password
So do I understand you correctly the Lx3 Falcon is not part of the JBA Engineeing series of kits. Did JBA only do 4 wheelsrs and if so which company made the LX3 kit

Guppy,
I suggest you get hold of a copy of the "Three-Wheelers" by Chris Rees, first published in 1995, has a couple of pages on the Falcon LX-3 (also covers most of the cars our Club).

Regards

Jack
