Wheels for 2CV. Spokes, alloys.

Post by Rossiroadrunner » Sun Jul 25, 2021 6:02 pm

Hi, I need two new drive wheels alloys are available from 2CV City or is there a spoked alternative. I have no experience of either and the ones I’m using are 39 years old.
Could do with a style change
Thanks.
Ross.

There are 2 options worth looking at on the Burton website.

I bought Bugatti style wheels from Burton, powder coated. Very happy with them.

I bought a set of spoked from MWS. They are from an MGA and MWS offer adapter plates for the 2CV hubs. There are problems fitting a spoked wheel to the rear on a 223, but it can be done.

Look for "mwsint.com" - under the "fitment guide" go for "kit car/replica" you'll find the Lomax/2cv listed.

Mine have been running for over three years now and are excellent quality.

Thanks everyone, spoked wheels are on there way when they have fitted tyres and had them balanced. Just waiting for a delivery date, will probably then have a mudguard problem.

Well, that took a while, circumstances beyond my control.

Surprised that MGA wheels would fit under the Avion tail.
