Stuck float chamber jet
I am unable to remove the jet inside the float chamber of my Solex 26/35 CSIC/SCIC carburettor. Too much force with a screwdriver will probably mean the tool slipping, and ruining the brass jet, and with it the carburettor. Anybody got a magic solution?

Re: Stuck float chamber jet
Well if it was mine the screw driver I would use would be one a little too wide for the hole that the primary jet is down then file the edge of the screw driver so it just fits so you get maximum purchase on the jet
If that won't remove it then get a drill bit say 1.1 mm so that will get rid of any stutter on part throttle get a long slim bolt, drill a hole in the end of it then glue the drill in the end of it ,then with fingers push it though the 12mm plug hole and twist till jet is the right size ...sorted

Re: Stuck float chamber jet
That sounds like a good idea. Before I do so, can you give the diameter of the existing jet (assuming it is a standard one)? Thanks
