Introduction
The 'Citroen Specials Club Ltd' invites all members and friends to join them in the 2022 ‘Summer Gathering-Coast to Coast’ delayed for the past two years due to Covid 19 etc. - an opportunity to meet your fellow members and enthusiasts in driving your cars on some of the best roads that Britain has to offer.
This event is open to all members, friends and enthusiasts to encourage them to drive their cars in parts of Britain that they may not have considered before and to raise the profile of the 'Citroen Specials Club Ltd' within the motoring fraternity.
Whether individual members only turn up to see the relay off in the morning, or join in for a days motoring, or even take on a few sections of the route themselves, it can only raise our club profile and provide opportunities for all members to be involved. Some members have already expressed an interest in doing the entire route.
The relay is planned to start from Crows Nest Caravan Park, Filey, North Yorkshire, YO14 9PS. This is the location for those who remember of where we eventually met having completed North/South Legs of Lands End/John O Groats. Time Start 10.00am, Thursday 23rd June 2022
There are five sections of the journey with breaks. Broken down to three sections, Leg 1, first day and two Sections, Leg 2, second day. Or if you fancy a different combination the choice is yours. If you have a partner/navigator the route has tulip style instructions, you need two in the car to work through this. If you are on your own then use Sat Nav, the instructions based on Tulip are not for a one-man team. A full set of instructions will be available for each section/leg participant.
However, participants are responsible for booking their own accommodation along the route. This has generally been the way forward as some require Hotels, B&B’s and or Camping, this worked well with Lands End/John O Groats, participants joined as and when. Locations and timings for lunch will be at the discretion of the group you are driving with.
Participants will be asked to meet at the allotted meeting point each morning which will be at 10.00am and will be expected to make their own way to that day's destination using the instructions provided. Some may be happy to lead a group of cars, whereas some will be expected to travel in small groups un-accompanied. Some may just drive the whole route in one go, it is up to you.
Full joining instructions and route guides can be downloaded from this website.

The Aims
1) To involve the membership in all areas - whether it's just meeting together, driving in their own area or doing a larger part of the run - or even all of it.
2) To get maximum publicity for the club and attract new members.

The Route
The route has been broken down into five distinct sections (three sections/1st leg Thursday 23rd June and two sections/2nd leg Friday 24th June)- culminating at the CSC 2022 Summer Gathering held at Seacote Hotel, St Bees, Beach Road, St Bees, CA27 0ES. Each leg of the route will start in the morning at 10am.
